Just days before the 2008 election, the far left wing group Equality AZ began a "robo phone call" smear campaign against Linda Gray with a message that states Gray is "not protecting children" and that she "voted against a bullying bill." These ridiculous assertions could not be farther from the truth:

FACT: Linda Gray wrote, sponsored (SB1179 in 2005) and voted in support of anti-bullying legislation in Arizona schools which the governor signed into law.

Last week, Senator Gray's liberal opponents distributed brochures to District 10 residents stating that she, Jim Weiers and Doug Quelland "put our military families through even more hardship...siding with predatory lenders" and "bankrupting our families." Again, these assertions could not be further from the truth:

FACT: Linda Gray knows the hardships faced by military families. Her father was an Army paratrooper, her husband was a Marine and her son was in the Navy.

FACT: Linda Gray has voted for free tuition for National Guard families, the elimination of Arizona income tax on active duty bases and the placement of "buffer zones" between payday loan companies and local military bases.

FACT: Linda Gray donates personal time to support U.S. troops. Recently, she spent several days helping students put together care packages for military men and women overseas.

FACT: Linda Gray has worked with Phoenix Councilman Peggy Bilstein to seek tougher penalties for child trafficking in Arizona.

The Arizona Police Association and the Arizona Fraternal Order of Police proudly endorse Linda Gray because of her efforts to the children of District 10 and all of Arizona. These two organizations ask you to vote for Senator Gray and tell Monroe and Thrasher to stop their lying . .
