Justin Johnson: Long on slogans and accusations, short on experience and facts
With his experience limited to "community involvement" in his father's mayoral campaigns as a child and an entire day as a principal at a high school in LD 10, Johnson has apparently resorted to "myth-spinning" about me and my record instead. Here are Johnson's latest myths - and the "inconvenient truths" behind them:

Myth #1: That Linda Gray is implicated in a "voter fraud" case sweeping Arizona

Fact: I have never even been involved in any voter fraud or any other form of improperiety. What's worse, the article Johnson links to as "evidence" in support his allegation doesn't even mention my name. Of course, Johnson fails to mention the thousands of dollars in campaign finance fines paid by his running mate, fellow Democrat Jackie Thrasher.

Myth #2: That Linda Gray isn't endorsed by the Chamber of Commerce

Fact: I am endorsed by the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce and have also been endorsed on multiple occasions by both the Phoenix Chamber and the Arizona Chamber.

Myth #3: That Linda Gray only claims to be "independent minded"

Fact: I don't just claim it - I practice it. That is why I am supported by Republicans, Democrats and Independents alike. Doing what is right for our district means being able to work across the aisle to get legislation passed and I have a proven track record of doing just that.

Myth #4: That Linda Gray spends the majority of her time in Prescott

Fact: My husband and I live right here in LD10, something Justin knows very little about, since he just moved here in order to run. We do have a retirement home in Prescott that we will eventually move to upon retirement, which I plan to do after this next term. I also had a 100% attendance and voting record for the 2010 legislative sessions, so it would be impossible for me to have spent the majority of my time in Prescott.

Myth #5: That Linda Gray "hangs out" with high-powered lobbyists, not people from our neighborhood

Fact: My community involvement just the last 30 days of “hanging out” included: 1). Sunnyslope Elementary school greeting on the 350 donated backpacks; 2). Speaking at ITT Tech Graduation; 3). Attending the Power One Solar announcement event with Greater Phoenix Chamber, the ASU-W clean election debate, a bill signing at ASU West, an event for retired teachers and a cancer fundraiser breakfast; 4). Calling in for radio program and sitting for an AZ Republic interview; 5). Attending an LD10 Rep. meeting, a Winning Women event, a Sunnyslope Village Alliance recognition dinner; and 6). Working on a graffiti cover-up detail in an LD10 neighborhood.

What has Johnson given back to the community during that time?

Myth #6: That Linda Gray purchased expensive office furniture using campaign funds.

Fact: Senator Gray's office furniture consists of a $100 leather loveseat purchased at her own expense at an auction house years ago. Her desk was re-finished by prison inmates - no new furniture.

Once again the Johnson campaign gets an "A" for creativity but an "F" for their fact check efforts. Where do they come up with these lies?
