Linda Gray for Arizona Senate 2008
Senator Linda Gray was honored with the 'Award of Excellence' from Arizona Game and Fish for her diligent work on the passage of stronger OUI (operating a boat under the influence) and for protection of our beautiful Arizona land concerning off road vehicles.
Senator Linda Gray was named Legislator of the Year by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. "Senator Gray stood up for the taxpayers of Maricopa County by heading off the governor's attempt to shift millions of dollars onto your local budget by sending thousands of state prisoners to county jails," said Maricopa County Supervisor's Chairman Andy Kunasek. "We need more leaders like Senator Gray who are willing to do the right thing, not the easy thing."
"We applaud Senator Gray for her fiscally conservative approach to addressing the state budget crisis," said District 4 Supervisor Max Wilson. "Her constituents can depend upon her to support small and efficient state government. We applaud Senator Gray for her fiscally conservative approach and continued protection of taxpayers by voting NO on the FY2009 budget, which plunged the state even deeper into debt, and was out of balance the day it was passed."
Senator Gray was also one of the prime sponsors of the "User Fee Off-Highway Vehicles" bill which aimed to protect our valuable desert and to help reduce air pollution in Maricopa County.
